What is PRMS?
Pressure Reducing and Metering Stations (PRMS) also known as Gas Control Cabinets / Skids are utilized to regulate and reduce the high incoming pipeline pressure to meet the desired equipment pressure from there on upon request also used for metering purposes for billing or cost analysis of gas usage.
How does it work?
Kayamak manufactures the PRMS, and our products are typically fitted with gas supply and control equipment such as:
• Inlet and outlet pressure gauges for gas measurement
• Gas filters: that protects the downstream gas line from the debris and to be able to remove the impurities
• Gas pressure regulators: that reduce the upstream pressure into desired pressure and ensure gas is supplied at a constant pressure
• Shut-off and relief valves: that stop or reduce the pressure in the system, and ensure the safety of the equipment.
• Ball Valves: to control the gas flow.
• Gas Meters: To measure the gas for billing.
• Volume Correctors: To convert and calculate the measured gas with the help of pressure and temperature transmitter.
